CHC30125 | Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
As an Early Childhood Educator, you’ll develop the skills needed to nurture and support our Bubup’s and work with teachers to deliver quality play-based learning programs for children’s lifelong learning and development.
Our program will equip you the skills and knowledge to support children’s wellbeing adn development within the context of a learning framework. This course reflects the role of educators working in a regulated Early Childhood Education and Care Environment, such as long day care centres, home day care, pre-schools or kindergartens.
Is this course Nationally Recognised Training?
Yes, successful completion of the requirements of this course will lead to issuance of a qualification certificate recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). National Training Register – CHC30125 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
Qualification Issued once the units of competency required in the training package for this qualification have been successfully completed, the student will be issued with a CHC30125- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care and an academic transcript of all completed units within 30 calendar days. students who successfully complete individual units of competency within the qualification, but not the qualification in its entirety will be eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment. This document contains a record of all completed units and will be available to students by the end of their course.
Qualification Pre-Requisites
There are no formal qualification pre-requisites to enroll in the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Enrolment Entry Requirements
As part of the enrolment process you need to:
- Complete a Pre-Training Review
- Complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment
- Provide Evidence of your Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Senior Secondary students interested in studying this course, may only be eligible to enroll as part of a school-based traineeship

The course program has been structured and designed to be delivered over 44 weeks (including school holidays).
You may extend up to 52 weeks if you require additional time to complete the course study and/or placement.

Mode of Delivery:
Delivery is through a blended study model that includes classroom activities, self-paced online learning, and immersive workplace placement. Face-to-Face learning is delivered on-site at Bubup Wilam Aboriginal Child and Family Centre located in Thomastown. *Online and Block delivery coming soon.

Placement Requirements:
Through the immersive practical aspect of the course delivery, you will gain practical workplace skills and knowledge through 288 hours of mandatory work placement (avg. 1 day per week).
Further Study
This qualification enables students to pathway into the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and
Care or a community services qualification. This pathway is ideal for learners who wish to increase
their vocational experience before entering the workforce.

Fee for Service Place: $3800
Skills First Funded Place: $0 *This course is eligible for Skills First Funding (training subsidised by the Victorian Government.) and may be free for eligible students. You must meet certain eligibility criteria to be eligible for Skills First Funding, which will be reviewed as part of the student enrolment process.
