Bubup Wilam Aboriginal Child and Family Centre is seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Year Manager to join our multi-skilled team. The applicant must have a strong commitment to social justice and advancing the rights of Aboriginal People’s self-determination through Aboriginal community control.
Bubup Wilam Approach
Bubup Wilam received an EXCELLENT rating in 2023 by ACECQA for our innovative approach. The applicant must be dedicated to maintaining the delivery of high-quality Management in line with the Bubup Wilam Approach and Bubup Wilam curriculum framework. Our program is unique and specific requiring a manager with an open mind, a willingness to learn and a commitment to working within Bubup Wilam’s Aboriginal community-controlled framework. The new person joining our team must be dedicated to supporting children’s strong sense of social justice and building on their knowledge of their strong and proud Aboriginal identities.
Position Responsibilities
- The Early Years Manager will be responsible for the daily coordination and operation of Bubup Wilam’s Early Years Education area.
- This position will work as the nominated supervisor and educational leader for this area in collaboration with the Compliance Offer / Senoir Diploma Worker.
- The Early Years Manager will have a sound understanding and working knowledge of education and care services national regulations, National Quality Standards and their requirements, including but not limited to Child Safe Standards and Child Protection legislation. In line with the Bubup Wilam vision and philosophy.
- The Early Years Manager will ensure compliance and oversee educational implementation of developmental, cultural, and holistic early years programs for children in line with the Bubup Wilam Early Years Curriculum Framework and the VEYLDF.
To perform this role, it is essential that the Early Years Manager is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
Qualification / Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Early Years Education.
- Demonstrated experience working in Aboriginal Early Years Education or Care
- Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal people.
